珐琅彩大多是小件，素有“瓶不过拳,盘不超掌”之说，此盘不但器型硕大，色彩丰富，而且画工极为精湛，九条虬龙神态各异,腾跃蹿飞，使室内烟云蒸腾，满屋瑞气，尽显九五之尊之气！据说，此盘为唐英花十年心血，在乾隆二十年时研制而成，本准备奉献乾隆五十大寿，可此时乾隆还只有四十四岁，唐英却实在无力坚持下去，只好提前敬奉皇上，也作为自己一生的收官之作。 珐琅彩制作集当时一流顶级高手而为之，是那个时代最高水平的艺术精品，彰显了中华民族传统文化的最高境界。
